Scarcity of food is happening in Sajek, Bangoltoli, Marissha, Baghaichori, Sarwatoli of Rangamati. The Buddhist council of hill tracts distributed relief to the 52 families of three villages last 07th May. The three villages are Shijok Chora para, 8 number para and kaging para.
Secretary general of Hill tracts Buddhist Council central central Venerable Sugata lankar Sthabir, secretary general of Dighinala upazilla Venerable Lokamitra Bhikku, lecturer of Baghaichori Sijok College Venerable Silobhodra Thero, Member of Sajek Union Parishad Debjyoti Chakma was present in the time of relief distribution.
When the social media got the news of relief distributing of Buddhist monks, they praised this good deed in various ways.
Mr. Pallab Rangei a user of facebook wrote : at first I did not believe that the Buddhist monk of Hill tracts Buddhist council donating the relief. I thought that the picture is taken from Thailand of Myanmar. But when I understood the picture is of my country I became astonished. The Buddhist monks arranged this relief not only this they took it to the truck themselves. It is a matter of amazing that in this time they did not stay in the temple. They went out for the humanity. Everyday we are getting various bad news but this is a great news for learn many things.
