Buddhists of Bangladesh are celebrating full moon day of  Bhadra

Today the Buddhists of Bangladesh are celebrating full moon day of Bhadra which is called happy honey full moon day also. It is a memorable day for the Buddhists. In this day monkey donates honey to the lord Buddha. Buddha performed a rainy season in the Paralaoi forest on the east side of Allahabad in India. There an elephant take cares of Buddha. Seeing this scene, a monkey wants to give something. He donates a honey bee mahakati to Buddha. Buddha accepted his donation. The monkey is very happy to receive his gift from Buddha and he is happy to have a tree on the tree.

To remember this rare donation the Buddhists of the world celebrates this day. In this day the devotees will donate honey to the Buddhists monks.

Various programs are arranged in different Buddhist temples to celebrate the day. Dharmarajik Buddhist Maha Bihar, Merul Badda international Buddhist temple of Dhaka, Nandan kanon Buddhist temple, Katalganj Naba Pandit Bihar of Chittagong and many others temples of Bangladesh will celebrate this day with different programs.
